“ Another very nice Sunday lunch at the Cob and Pen in Wallington. Now under the management of Samantha who has changed the atmosphere of Sundays here. Firstly the music is an added bonus. On both occasions I have been entertained by a Jazz duo who hit just the right volume to enjoy but still have an easy conversation. On a chilly autumn day the saxophone gives that warm and comforting sound that gives the place a cosy air. Sam and her staff have been polite and welcoming with the service being most attentive. I’m not normally into Sunday roasts in pubs but this has been most pleasant on two occasions now with good food served hot and without a long wait. I’ve just had roast pork with all the trimmings and proper crackling too. An excellent sticky toffee pudding to follow. Concerning the wine, they have a wine list which lists some very nice ones. This is a departure from the usual pubs that serve undrinkable plonk because the landlady doesn’t drink it so doesn’t know what’s good. This landlady does. So, all in all two most enjoyable occasions and, no doubt, more to come. ”

Service was excellent, we weren’t rushed or left waiting. Nothing was too much bother for Sam or any of her staff. Would highly recommend it & we will return for sure. ”
